Liam movie with Mom babble

This short piece is narrated by a sleep deprived Momma Bear. Liam plays in his crib, mainly flapping his arms and making cute faces. I tried to capture a smile. They are adorable but remain ellusive. We'll keep trying!

A Shout Out to the Grandmas!

Let's hear it for Grammy Wrona and Gramma Z!!

Grammy came over yesterday morning and let Mom run some errands and Gramma Z came over later that day so that Mom and Dad could head out to dinner. It was so great to get a break from baby duty. PLUS Liam, the little Devil, is always an Angel whenever strangers are around. Funny how that works, huh?

A major aside: the medicine seems to be working. YEAH!!!!! Baby was so much better last night and was sleepy for 3 hour stretches, letting us catch up on some much needed rest. Maybe we're turning a corner at Casa Wrona. Mom will continue her special, crappy diet for a while (she did cheat at the restaurant last night) but we think it's the Zantac that's giving Liam a break from the acid reflux.

Cousin Elisabeth and Liam looking rather "Devilish"

rather appropriate these days!!!

Not the most hopeful doctor's appointment

We went into Worcester this morning to St. Vincent's Hospital to see a specialist about Liam's colic/reflux situation. Basically, he's treating him for both of those plus food allergies which means an increase on the reflux meds and Mom is forbidden from eating just about any food that she finds yummy. Sigh. We go back in two weeks. HOPEFULLY we'll see some improvements because Mom and Dad are just about worn down to a frazzled nub.

Some random cutie pictures of Baby and Daddy

Our First Father's Day

Chris and Liam enjoyed a relaxing day together. The weather cooperated perfectly and Daddy got some much needed down time. Nothing like a rainy day to encourage napping and reading a novel. Liam was actually really peaceful all day....saving up his energy for a blow out evening performance. Oh, well. Daddy is really earning his stripes!

And thanks to Auntie Una and Uncle Jeff for this cute Monchichi outfit that came all the way from Berlin! Even though it's a 6 month size, Liam was filling it out rather well. He's a looooong baby.

Fingers Crossed!

We took Liam to the doctor's on Wednesday because he had been spitting up so much and really seemed to be in pain during his evening crying jags. We're trying him on Zantac (thinking it's acid reflux that might be plaguing him).

It's a little funny: the medicine is peppermint flavored and he HATES the taste! The faces he makes when I squirt it in his mouth are priceless! Poor kid!

He's had a few doses and last night he didn't seem to suffer as much. Hopefully, this will give him (and Mommy and Daddy) some relief and more restful nights.

Just a cute picture

Napping in his pack n play. I can't believe he's already outgrowing clothes! He doesn't fit into several of his 3 month outfits.

Baby's first mall trip - The Suburban Retail Adventure

He wouldn't be my baby if he didn't tolerate a little retail therapy. Today, the Wrona's ventured to the local mall. Mom is proud as punch that she averted a meltdown AND survived the horrors of changing a baby in a public restroom. Public nursing...well, we dodged that bullet for now.
Here's Liam kickin' it in the baby department at Macy's.

The Chunky Monkey

Liam weighs 10.5 lbs today! Momma knew her back hurt for a reason. The Monkey is getting tubby!

I think we had our first smile!

I've been hesitant to say he smiled before today even though we've have some strong maybes. But today I DEFINITELY got a smile. He was laying in his crib and he was looking up at me and the mobile. Ahhhhh, so sweet!!! Of course, then he pooped his diaper but I still say SMILE and not just gas.

Also, I picked up the birth announcements so those should be going out by the end of the week. That's two days in a row that Mom had it together enough to leave the house on her own with baby in tow. Amazing!

Our Salvation - The Swing

I kind of want to buy another one of these swings for the second floor of our house!

Liam let us have a date night!

What a generous baby!
On Friday, Gramma Z came out to sit for us so Chris and I could have a dinner date to celebrate my birthday. We went to a sushi place in Worcester and pigged out on all the food Mommy wasn't allowed to eat for almost 10 months. Liam was a little TOO aggreable with the situation. He slept the whole time Gramma was here and wanted to party when Mom and Dad got home.

Look at the pretty flowers Chris and Liam gave me!

With two wondeful men in my life it was the best birthday I ever had!

4 weeks old!

I can hardly believe it but Liam is 4 weeks old today!
What an adventure so far!
He's such a wonderful baby - we love him so much. I wonder what the next 4 weeks will bring?

Bath time

Liam is a huge bath fan! He loves the warm water and the silly songs Mummy sings. Only problem is he hates getting OUT of the tub. The chilly and wet part reminds him of diaper changes and our neighbors can attest to how much he hates those!

Was that a "Coo"?

Liam made a sound that wasn't a grunt or a scream! It was a burst of sound, neutral to happy in emotion, like an "AHHH!" I'm asserting it was his attempt at a happy noise. Yes. I'm clinging to that hope that some day very soon I will be treated to a noise that it not a furious infant wail.
