My brother's wedding was yesterday and we Wronas had a wonderful time. It was held at a gorgeous venue (Moraine Farm in Beverly) and the weather cooperated making it the perfect Fall afternoon event. After the bride and groom I have to say that Liam was the most popular person to see and be seen with. And he even let me wear the same outfit for the whole day sans spit up!
Photos of his tuxedo onesie were captured in the professional shots but I assure you that he looked very dapper.

Liam had his doctor's appointment today and he was a real champ. He missed out on his morning nap (I tried to convince him that he was tired but he knew better) so of course he fell asleep in the waiting room and I had to wake him by undressing him for the scale. How rude of me!
Liam weighs 15 pounds and 14 ounces! I knew he was getting really heavy to lug around.
This bumps him up between the 50th and 75th percentiles. (He was 50th since birth.)
His length is 26 and 7/8 inches and that makes him in the 95th percentile! The boy is loooooong.
And, he has a smallish head which I thought was kind of cute (only 25th percentile at 16 1/2 inches).
Then came the shots. Yeowch! But he only cried for a minute. All in all, a great visit. The doc gave the go ahead to try the rice cereal again or to try oatmeal.

Liam has been trying to grab onto glasses and spoons as they head for Mommy's mouth. I take it as a great sign that he's interested in solid food. He's also just plain grabbing for everything within his reach. I "wore" him to BJ's today and he made a grab for all of the items, the credit card, the pen, the receipt and the bag. Awww, he was trying to help with the shopping.
Here is Liam helping with the laundry.
Tomorrow is the big 4 month check up (which means more shots). I have a long grocery list of questions to ask about our little bub but I'm most eager to learn his height and weight. Someone called him "HUGE" today, which I thought was a touch unkind but not untrue. The kid has grown!
I'll let you all know what we learn tomorrow although if this visit is anything like the last, I may be soothing a sad little boy all day and have little time for anything else. Wish us luck!

Saturday, Chris and I decided to give Liam some more rice cereal. This time, the consistency was more porridge-y. We had fun feeding him and I think Liam liked eating it. All was great so Mommy went out for a meal with her sisters (Hi girls! I had fun!) but later that night. . . . ka-bloo-ey! That is the action/sound of rice cereal flying out of both ends of our child. Geeeeee-ROSS!!! Poor baby, and poor Mommy.
We will definitely be waiting a bit longer before we go down that path again! I think that his little tum-tum just isn't ready for the solids yet.

Liam is like a little doggie in that now absolutely everything has to go right into his mouth for a good chew. This includes Mom! In fact, and I am in no way bragging here, I think that I am his favorite thing to slurp on. My fingers, my shoulder...we're both a drooled on mess by the end of the afternoon.
He will be 4 months old next Monday and he continues to grow like a chubby weed. I think he's approaching 16 pounds and he's ready for the next size diapers already! Size 3. Amazing. It was just a few weeks ago that I was scouring Block Island for Size 2.
We tried a little rice cereal last night - very diluted - and the spoon was not a big hit. He did slurp it all down in a bottle though and slept longer than he has been. Coincidence?? I'm not going to risk it. I'll be serving rice-y milk again soon.
I read recently in a Mommy book that 4 o'clock is the new 5 o'clock. Amen to that! We're only having mac n' cheese for dinner but I'll be checking the cupboards to see which wine goes with that.
