Napping Baby

Thank you, napping baby! You just gave Mommy enough time to make some banana bread! Now the house smells so good we can happily ignore the basket of laundry and dust bunnies.

Vote for Liam!

Ok, ok, I don't want you to think that I'm going to be "that" Mom, but I did enter Liam in a baby contest. I mean, come on! He's super cute! And Momma needs the grand prize (a $500 shopping spree at Bab Gap for her little clothes horse).

So, if you have a moment, please click on this link and vote for Liam. You can vote once a day.

He promises to remember you when he's rich and famous and hocking Pampers and Carters and later ShamWow!

You know that cartoon of someone trying to get a cat into a bath tub?

That's what it's like trying to get Liam into his Jumperoo! He gets one leg on each side of the hole I'm trying to stuff him into and flexes those powerful thighs of his. It's annoying/hilarious. He is loving the Jumperoo more and more which is GREAT! I have it next to the computer so I can get a few things done. I have a short window before he gets bored but it's better than nothing!

The meds haven't helped but we're just going to tough it out.

After more than a week on the increased dose of Pepcid, we'd hoped to experience a diminished volume of spit up on the Wrona floor boards. No such luck. Our Pedi is referring us back to the specialist at the hospital (the one I can't stand) so I'm going to hold out hope that maybe increasing solid foods will help us out. I really can't stand the GI specialist (he suggested that I cut out nursing and switch to formula if I wasn't willing to eliminate just about everything from my diet). If we need to, I'll track down a new person. Until then, I'm glad I bought a steam cleaner for the floors! Now if I only had time to use it.
Here's Liam enjoying his high chair where we sit every morning and have cereal and fruit.

Bumping up the meds and pumping him full of oatmeal.

That's the new plan.

Liam's reflux seems to have worsened recently. Probably due to the fact that we haven't increased his medication as he's gained weight. After a consultation with his doctor, we have increased his dose of Pepcid by 50% as of last night. Hopefully, this will help him keep more food in his tummy and enable him to sleep longer stretches at night. PLEASE!

Plus, we had a rather successful breakfast of oatmeal this morning! Fingers crossed that this will help.

This monkey is not a big fan of bananas.

I thought, "Let's skip the cereal and try fruit!" Well, you can see here that our monkey is still not warming to solid foods.

The best part is at the very end of the video. He makes this shudder like he's never tasted anything so horrifyingly gross. Hilarious!
