Sneak preview

I'm thinking about making Valentine's out of this photo but I couldn't resist sharing it with everyone.

Liam crawled!

Liam really crawled for the first time on Sunday. He's been "army crawling" for a few weeks now but this time he got up onto his knees and did it. The temptation that finally got him going? The telephone which received a big, slobbery kiss.

Video: More adorable babble

Just like Mama

Liam breezes past the headlines and dives right into the Arts section. He's a man after my own heart!

A whole lot of firsts lately!

I haven't had time to get on the actual laptop these days (I've just been hitting the internet on my phone) so I haven't really had the chance to share all of the changes that Liam is undergoing these days.

I think the biggest transformation has been in his mobility. He is really able to drag himself, roll or scoot all over the place. I've also seen him cruise along the railing in his crib. His favorite thing is still jumping and Chris and I think that's all that's holding him back from actual walking. The kid would rather JUMP every where.

The list of finger foods we've tried just keeps getting longer and I think that Liam is pretty bored with most purees now. He loves toast, crackers and puffs and I posted yesterday that we had "Brekkie for Dinner" and he really loved French toast and scrambled eggs. No food reactions to the egg white thus far.

The teeth....they will not break through! The poor family has been suffering along with Liam for the past four nights. He will just wake up screeching in pain. You can see in some of these pictures how red his face is from all the drooling and inflammation. Hopefully, we will wake up one morning soon to some pearly whites.
Pants-less in his tent - the new favorite toy.

My big boy in his sweater vest - Thanks for the hand-me-down, Auntie Megan!

I've done it again. Entered Liam into a baby contest, that is.

It's through but I'm too tired to figure out how to correctly post the link. I'll edit this later :)

If you have the time to vote, great....if not, no worries!

Pulling up!

Liam can pull himself up in his crib! He seems to have no interest in crawling. Whenever I put him on his belly or on all fours, he flops and rolls onto his back. Then he starts kicking and complaining until I stand him up so he can lean on me or the sofa.

The Fellas

Liam's play group came over today and we all had such a great time! Here are a few shots of "The Fellas" as I'm calling them. Hysterical!!

Happy New Year! 2010 is wonderful so far!

2009 was such an exciting and busy time in our lives. We moved into our beautiful new home, renovated our kitchen, welcomed our amazing son into our lives and have so busy ever since trying to figure him out! We enjoyed such intense love and also struggled greatly. Thank you to all of you who were so very generous to our family, with your love, your patience and with all of the gifts and time you shared with us. We couldn't have done it without you.

We have had a busy week since Christmas enjoying "quiet" family time. Liam has developed so much in recent days. He is rocking on his hands and knees and experimenting with pulling up on his crib and the other furniture. We've been doing more baby proofing because it seems like our little monkey will be tearing around the house within a couple of weeks. He did sleep through the night ONCE and we're still waiting for the encore performance.

We think that he said his first word on Saturday: "MA!" He scrunched up his face and balled up his fists and really struggled to push out the exact right sound. "MA!" Awesome! We are hearing a lot of babble and he's experimenting with lots of gurgles and yelps. I'm still waiting to hear "MA" again, though.

Liam continues to love all of his new toys. I tried to snap some pictures of him enjoying his playthings and wearing a few of his cute new outfits. Here are those images. Enjoy!

Snaps! And rocking a cute new sweater

Sillytown and Jammin' Microphone - from the grandparents

Wearing a cool outfit that came all the way from England from his little pen pal, Emily. And enjoying the Moose toy from Aunt Kate (while chewing on another favorite toy, a straw!)
