Thanksgiving Weekend 2010 and some great pictures by Uncle Jeff

These great pictures are courtesy of

Liam sure loves his Daddy!

We spent Turkey Day with Grammy and Papa and the next day with the Zorabedian clan.

Liam is also demonstrating that he need only be told or shown something once before he adds it to his repertoire. We gave a toast and now "CHEERS" is the new toddler drinking game. Watch out cuz he'll match you juice for gin any day of the week!

Liam drinks his cereal

And other things that make me glad we have an HE washer/dryer. Bibs are no match for my Mad Scientist. The original container a liquid is served in is but a means of conveying (sloppily) cereal or soup or yogurt into or onto something else.

We woke up with a new sentence this morning.

"Mama, this my train!"

Holiday Photo Shoot Disaster (with charming results)

Ain't nothing in the world is free....or cheap! I would have happily paid three times as much not to have dealt with the chaos and frustration that was Liam's second Christmas photo shoot. (hint: don't expect me to recommend Picture People to you anytime, ever.)

He was immediately cranky and soon after, tearful. But all you need is one second of happy baby and this is the cuteness that results.

Thanks to Auntie Meg for the cute sweater!

First sentence

"This my belly." Announced this morning while we were getting dressed.

He knows lots of body parts but the belly is his favorite. Just don't ask him to point out his eyes because he will rapidly spear your eyeball with his little finger.

Also, be prepared for him to pull up your shirt and share your belly with pride. My belly isn't ascute as it used to be so this is gmae is not high on my list of things to have done to me in line at Target.

The Monkey is 18 months old today!

He weighed (himself!) on the bathroom scale and it read 26.8 pounds. We go to the doctor's on Wednesday so we can update with their official stats then.

Woo-hoo! Happy Half Birthday, little man!

Often, clean and folded clothes never make it to a drawer.

One of the most trying thinks about an 18 month old boy who loves peanut butter is when he dives into the laundry basket of clean clothes. Those soldiers on top (including the pants i wanted to wear tomorrow) go right back into the dirty pile.

This is why I will only buy cotton clothes. Cheap cotton clothes. Because 'wash and wear' does not apply to Mamas. It is sometimes 'wash and rewash'.

Daddy played hooky!

We all delighted in our stolen day with Daddy. We went into the Museum of Science. Here is Daddy straddling the line between Boston and Cambridge.

Liam is checking out some chicks that just hatched,

has some water fun catching fish in a mountain stream,

and gets a ride on the swings. (The Museum of Science has vastly improved their exhibitions in recent years. Mama was IMPRESSED!)

Daddy and Liam pretend to be bugs in an underground burrow.

We all had some fun playing with shape sorting.

And the blog wouldn't be complete without some monkey business from Mama.
