Liam is a poet

The Bub loves words! He will recite bits of stories that he finds delicious to say. "The darkening wood! The Moon shone and the stars sparkled!" It makes me so proud.

Choccachip GOOD!

Liam loves ice cream but he's really into the cone, too, or "cookie" as he calls it.

Heat Wave and the cost-conscious field trip

We took a scenic drive down Rte 9, spotting trash trucks and digger trucks, to the used toy store. Follow this with a lunch date at Whole Foods and you've sucessfully spent a cool morning while entertaining and feeding your child for $10! Mama = genius and Bub = happy. Plus, can you really put a price on the sweet score of a Matchbox Limo? I submit that you can NOT!

The Favorite

Ferret Kitty was cracking Liam up tonight. She got herself into some Star Wars jammies and kept saying "Kitty!"

This is all it takes to be a good Mom sometimes: a puppet in PJs and repetition. Class dismissed.

Rockport Mini-Vacation = Unmitigated Disaster

There were some glowing moments of fun and levity, but these were cleanly wiped out by the tsunami of crankiness and sleep issues we were tested with. Liam also maintained his fear of the beach so you can imagine that implication and it's impact on Mama's desire to walk in the waves.

Please view any photographic evidence that suggests an idyllic trip with a grain of salt water taffy.

Front Beach, Rockport

Very afraid of the ocean but thinks nothing of climbing up a 20' slide!

Is this really happening? Hot and tired and . . . I think he's picking his nose back there!

The double straw is the trick to truly enjoying Italian Ice.

One of the 15 minutes we spent on the beach in Manchester. Great value for our $10!

Back home and happy that we saved a giant lollipop for a bribe!

**A shout out to Grandma Cookie for coming up last night to babysit so Chris and Mama could eat in a restaurant and watch the sunset.

Yard Sales! $4 Buys a lot of happiness!

Liam and Mama scored some great treasures at yard sales this morning! $4 got us a little trike, a wheelie Diego suitcase and a bunch of cars and trucks, complete with a rescue center! Did I mention the rescue center make noises and has RAMPS?!
Heaven.
Then we went to Harvey's Farm to feed the animals and capped it off with a big boy hair cut. Liam managed to eat 3 lollipops in 10 minutes. What a lucky boy! And a new state record

I think we have reached Kitty saturation.

There is no room left in the bed for Liam when he sleeps with a herd of cats who seem to be wildly multiplying! I swear, I'm not buying him new ones. Well, maybe just one here and there. But there are a few faces and tails I don't recognize!

A visit to the zoo

We had a fun family day at the zoo.

Liam really enjoyed feeding the deer and eating an ice cream sandwich!

We saw lemurs eating bananas and got to see some BIIIIG kitties up close.

We saw some funny giraffes eating leaves.

And, there was a special train that Liam just had to have.

You know the Monkey always gets what he wants.
