I think I swallowed a spider!

My belly is wiggling and jiggling from Bump's kicks!  And tonight was the first time I could watch him move around.

When we were in the hospital this past weekend -- yes, little boy, you put your Mama in the hospital -- two nurses and the midwife commented "what an active baby you have!"  Yup.  He was repeatedly kicking the fetal monitor and generally thrashing around in there.

Someone is eager for attention.  So much for a chill second baby!

Something doesn't look quite right....

Here's Bub, running around like a maniac.  OH!  This time, his jacket is on backwards.

Merry Christmas from Bub and Bump!

Here's a shot of the carnage. I was very impressed that it took 2 hours and 43 minutes to open all of the gifts. At that point, I needed a nap!

Bub is drowning in new toys.  His favorites are the fire truck, the construction trucks and the dinosaurs. And yes, he has managed to work all three into a cohesive game.

Here's a very poorly lit reaction video of Bub coming downstairs to see his gifts from Santa.

I have no shame in my game.  Here's Mama with her "bowl full of jelly" looking belly!

You are not seeing things.

The parasarolophus has a purse.

This is how I play dinosaur: the game is Dinosaur Picnic. I'm the caterer and I deliver organic picnics to the various dinosaur friends. It works for everyone!

Bub's Big Rockin Christmas Party

School had a pajama party today to celebrate Christmas.  There were cookies and a movie instead of nap time.

Consequently, Bub is now konked out asleep at 5pm.  I have a feeling he may be awake pretty late tonight.

Here he is with his favorite friends making play dough Christmas cookies.

The Bump's First Ride

I think The Bean deserves his promotion to The Bump!

I dare not show this to Liam for fear of gross displays of jealousy, but here's Bump's first car.

Why does Santa have 100 eyes?

"So he can see all the naughty girls and all the naughty boys!"

Only 5 days until Santa comes and Bub is playing it fast and loose!  He got an email from Santa encouraging him to watch his temper (a-hem).  Bub doesn't seem too concerned that he might get bumped from the NICE list.  Sigh.

On the flip side, we had a magically easy visit with Santa.  Bub was very excited to climb into his lap and smile nicely for a picture.  When Santa asked him what he would like for Christmas, Bub said,
"I have to get out of your lap so I can look at you".

With Santa's full attention, he rattled off a long list and then turned to me for further prompting, not wanting to miss one thing.  He then ran over to join another girl in her photo!  Hilarious.

Pudding Cups Taste More Delicious When Pantless

Just trust me that Bub has on ONLY his fire truck underpants beneath the table cloth.

The joy and deliciousness is directly proportionate to the amount of chocolate on his face.

23 weeks along

Little Bean is getting big!  I think we're going to have to come up with a name for him as he's no longer "Bean" sized.
Chris is feeling kicks from the outside.

The Fellas (and 2 Little Ladies) Christmas Party

Bub and I enjoyed a lot of sugary treats with our playgroup friends on Monday.
Here are a few sweet pictures of the festivities.

Sick Bub... Again or Still?

Yes, we're expecting a full refund from preschool as Liam never seems to be well enough to go!

Home with my sick boy and his terrible cough. At least we have lollipops and pirate cartoons.

Liam the Teacher

The new thing at bedtime is for Bub to play the teacher and read a story to his cats.  The book is always The Big Book of Big Dinosaurs.

Here's the game:
Bub runs his fingers over the words and "reads".  The kitties meow and point to a picture and then Bub tells them the name of the dino.  He will sometimes look to me and say "You're the Mama.  What is this dinosaur?"  I will feed him the answer and then he'll tell the kitties.  Usually, I do not need to do this as Bub knows everything.....particularly about dinosaurs.
