I think he's got it, our Pickle! Eating lots of food and formula seem to fill him up and let him really settle down for two long stretches at night. He's forgiven for crying the whole ride home from the beach last weekend.

We visited our old friend Kronosaurus and had a picnic and some ice cream. It was a really great visit with everyone behaving and enjoying themselves. And now, I'm collecting my reward for all that togetherness. A quiet hour at the nail salon. Good trade off!

It isn't every time I go to the grocery store with little boys and they behave so adorably that nearly every customer gives me a sweet smile that says I am raising amazing little people.
But sometimes it happens! Embrace those days, I tell myself, and they can erase other times when we're the reason people are in bad moods.
Here is the new Jurassic World theme park!

In the vein of olde timey fun, we had ice cream adjacent to barnyard animals and tried to catch a frog in a stream.
Pickle had some ice cream!
And because Cubby was running around too much to photograph, here he is mesmerized by Yo Gabba Gabba, an old school show I'm forcing on the kids because I love it.
We had an arrangement, Pickle and I, that when we went shopping together, I would get a few minutes to browse as long as I chattered at him in baby talk and dropped everything to feed him on demand.
Apparently that deal has expired. I now can choose to shop while carrying him or shop online at 11pm. Both options have led to impulsive purchases.

Oh, what a lucky mommy I am this morning! Pickle slept through the night!
It only took 7 months (plus 9 months of pregnancy and getting up to pee constantly), so 16 months since I have slept for 6 consecutive hours.

I earned one million "Awesome Mom" points for hopping around like a fool in the sweltering afternoon sun, flagging down local trafffiic, so my kids and the neighborhood children could each earn $4.25.
4 lemons = $2
Sugar = $1
Paper cups = $2
Quarters for the cash box = $2
Polished stones given away with purchase = $3
Filling the love bucket = priceless

Our little Dyl Pickle is 7 months old today!
He is heaaaavvvy! He loves to sit on his blanket surrounded by toys. He is pulling up. He takes baths in the big tub now! His favorite foods are yogurt and Mums and watermelon. He is still nursing and having 1 bottle a day of formula. And the biggest news of all is that he's sleeping in his own room in his crib!

It's good to be the only girl in the house!
