Happy Julian-uary!

We had a snow day here, and what better way to keep the savages at bay than with the promise of cake?! We celebrated the end of January. It was a bitch of a month!


I learned that whipped cream cheese is not an acceptable substitute for cream cheese when making frosting. A can of green frosting saved the day and our pumpkin layer cake had green icing!

Apparently, Liam only needed me to GET the toy in order to fall asleep. He was off in dreamland by the time we returned.

End of week 2 and Liam did so well.

13 months old!

Poor 3rd child! Mama is too busy to catalog all of the adorable accomplishments you've been racking up.

A walking video is forth coming.

He can say "kitty", "bubba" and "oohUH!", which means "what's that? This is accompanied by a crooked pointing finger.

Here is Pickle, in the bank, after his checkup. He was fawned over in both places, of course.

Slugger weighs 27 lbs and is 31 inches tall.
That's a gain of 19 pounds and 12 inches in his first year! Go Pickle!

Lucky 13!

Pickle is 13 months old today!

He's growing his 3rd tooth. That's it behind his tongue.

Cubby is loving winter and snow and being back in school.

Liam is doing really well transitioning into his new school. He's been such a trooper.

Jurassic World Battle, Indominus Rex vs T Rex

It's the night before our big "battle".

Bub is starting his new school tomorrow. I think we all have butterflies the size of Jurassic carnivores in our bellies!


As a reward and distraction, Bub and I spent the day at the aquarium. It was a wonderful time and we were both zipping between exhibits, the gift shop, the cafe, more exhibits, back to the gift shop, the cafe again, gift shop... It was ideal!

I hope Bub carries some happy memories to bed with him tonight. Dream of penguins and petting the sting rays, little love!
